Once upon a time, in a quiet park, lived a little robot named Bip. Bip was very shiny. Bip was very round. Bip had little wheels that went whirrr-whirrr-whirrr and a little light on his chest that went blink-blink-blink. Bip loved his park, but everything was a bit grey. The wall was grey. The path was grey. Even the clouds looked like dusty old spoons. Bip wanted to help. He wanted the park to be happy! Can you guess what Bip found?
Behind a big tree, Bip found six giant buckets of paint. These weren't just any buckets of paint; they were 'Giggle-Paint' buckets! But wait. Bip had a problem. Bip only knew black and white. He didn't know the names of the bright, bouncy colors inside. 'Beep-boop?' Bip wondered. He dipped his big magnetic brush into the first bucket. Squelch!
Suddenly, a tiny friend fluttered down. It was Mila the Butterfly. She was as bright as a lemon. 'Bip!' she chirped. 'That is Yellow! Yellow like the big sun. Yellow like my wings.' Bip smiled and painted a big circle on the grey wall. Swish-swish! Now the wall had a sunny heart. Bip felt so happy! Can you say Yellow? Yellow!
Next, Bip rolled his wheels to a big bucket of blue. Plip-plop! He was so excited that he accidentally painted his own toes! 'Oh no!' cried Bip. But then he looked at the sky. It was also Blue! The water in the pond was Blue, too. Bip painted big, wavy lines on the wall. Whoosh! Whoosh! Now the sun had a Blue ocean to dip into. Bip’s chest-light turned a soft, Blue color. Blink!
Then, a friendly green helper hopped by. It was Barnaby the Frog. 'Ribbit! Look at me, Bip!' Barnaby said. 'The grass is Green, the leaves are Green, and I am Green!' Bip dipped his brush. Splash! He painted big Green trees on the wall. Bip was learning so many words! Red like a ladybug, Orange like a sweet carrot, and Purple like a bunch of grapes. Drip-drop, drip-drop!
All the children in the neighborhood came to watch. They cheered for Bip. 'Look at the Rainbow Wall!' they shouted. Bip’s wheels went fast. Zoom! Zip! Whirrr! He painted stars and flowers and curly-whirly shapes. The grey wall was gone. Now, it was a giant, colorful hug for everyone to see.
When the sun started to go sleepy-sleep, the park was full of color. Bip looked at his friends and his beautiful wall. He wasn't just a grey robot anymore. He was a rainbow-maker! Bip’s chest-light glowed every color at once—Yellow, Blue, Green, and Red. He gave a happy 'Beep-Beep!' and everyone hugged him. And that’s how it all turned out just right.
