Once upon a time, in a place where the leaves were as green as Grandma’s favorite scarf, lived a girl named Bella. But Bella wasn't just any girl—she was a tiny, fuzzy squirrel with a tail like a giant, soft feather. Swish-swish! She lived in the Emerald Park, where the flowers loved to have dance parties in the breeze.
But oh no! One morning, Bella looked at the flowerbeds and saw something very wrong. A big, grumpy wind had blown through the park. It didn't just blow leaves; it blew old candy wrappers, crunchy juice boxes, and lots of tangled twigs right on top of the flowers. The poor flowers were hunched over. They felt heavy. They felt grumpy. Can you imagine trying to dance with a Pile of Old Paper on your head? No way!
'Don’t worry, flowers!' Bella chirped. 'I am brave, and I am fast, and I’m going to help you find your rhythm again!'
But when Bella looked at the big pile of clutter, she realized it was a very, very big job for one small squirrel. She needed her friends. First, she found Barnaby Bear. He was snoring under a tree. Honk-shoo! Honk-shoo!
'Barnaby!' Bella called. 'Help me tidy up!'
Barnaby opened one sleepy eye. 'Too big,' he grumbled. 'Too much work.'
Then she found Mia the Mouse. Mia was hiding behind a discarded plastic bag. 'It’s a scary mountain!' Mia squeaked. 'I’m too little!'
Bella stood up tall on her tippy-toes. She didn’t feel scared. She shook her tail—Shake, shake, shake!—and started to sing a happy work-song. 'Pick it up, scoop it in, tidy house, let’s begin! If we work and play together, the forest will feel light as a feather!'
Pop! Bella picked up a wrapper. Hop! She tossed a twig.
Barnaby Bear saw how much fun Bella was having. He let out a big yawn and said, 'I can help!' He used his big paws to scoop up the heaviest branches. Whump! Whump! Mia the Mouse saw how brave Bella was and started to help, too. She gathered all the tiny bits of foil. Scuttle-scuttle! Guess who found the most trash? They all did!
Soon, they were jumping and laughing. Every time they picked something up, they shouted, 'Šup!' and tossed it into a neat pile. The messy mountain was getting smaller and smaller until—Whoosh!—it was all gone. The Emerald Park was clean again.
Suddenly, the wind returned. But it wasn't a grumpy wind anymore. It was a Tickle-Wind! It smelled like fresh grass and sunshine. The flowers felt the weight lift off their petals. One by one, they popped their heads up. Bling! Bling! Bling!
The tulips swayed to the left. The daisies twirled to the right. The whole park was having a Great Tickle-Wind Dance! Bella, Barnaby, and Mia joined in, spinning around the sunny flowerbed. Bella felt so proud in her heart. She knew that being brave meant starting a big job, even when it looks a little scary.
And that’s how, with a little help and a lot of heart, Bella and her friends made the world a perfect place to dance. Now, the flowers are happy, the park is clean, and everyone is ready for a nap. Zzzzz.
