Once upon a time, there was a little hero named Detective Bunny. He had two very long, very twitchy ears and a very shiny magnifying glass. Can you twitch your nose like a bunny? Sniff, sniff, sniff! One sunny morning, Detective Bunny opened his door and found something strange. On the ground was a trail of crunchy, orange carrot tops. Crunch! Munch! Crunch!
Where do they go? Detective Bunny was very curious. He held his magnifying glass high and followed the trail. First, he went into the Tickle-Tall Grass. The grass went Swoosh! Swoosh! It tickled his tummy and made him giggle. He looked down and saw his friend, a tiny Snail wearing a very small hat. “Are you going to the party?” asked the Snail. But the Snail was very slow. So, Detective Bunny said, “Hop on!” and the Snail sat right on his head. Together, they followed the trail under the Wiggly Willow tree. Wiggle, waggle, wiggle!
Detective Bunny used his big ears to listen. What was that sound? Thump-thump, thump-thump! It sounded like music! He followed the orange carrot tops all the way to the Great Moonlight Meadow. The moon was big and yellow, like a giant cookie in the sky. Can you reach up high for the moon? Stretch, stretch, stretch!
When they arrived, Detective Bunny saw a wonderful surprise. It was a Bunny Hop Dance Party! All the rabbits were there, jumping and turning. Detective Bunny shared all the carrot tops he found so everyone could have a snack. Crunch, crunch, yum!
Then, the music started. The crickets played their violins. Chirp, chirp! Detective Bunny and the Snail began to dance. They went Hop! Pop! Stop! Can you hop like a bunny? Hop! Pop! Stop! They danced and swirled until their tiny paws were tired. Detective Bunny was so happy he followed the trail. Everyone was together, and everyone was invited. And that is how the big secret mystery ended with a very happy, sleepy dance. Goodnight, Detective Bunny. Night-night!
